Granulated Sodium Salt of Humic Acid

The use of humic acidsas feedstuff in animal breeding have been showing proven benefits for long. Up to the 50s and 60s they have been used in the form of peat. Humic acids cover the mucous membrane and bound toxins and  microorganisms which are excreted afterwards. They also shall be deemed to be anti-inflammatory and to show astringent effects as well as to enhancing the immune system of animals. Humic acids have the potential to supplement and even substitute antibiotics in many applications. These days humic acids are mainly obtained from oxidized lignites, especially from Leonardite.  

HuminFeed®  WSG is a concentrated and water-soluble feed-grade sodium humate in crystalline granulated form. It can be fed to livestock (swine, poultry and cattle) or used as a drinking water additive to stimulate the immune system. The intestinal flora is stabilised through the fixation of toxins and harmful substances in the animal feed and through the formation of a protective film on the surface of the gastrointestinal mucous membrane. The animal’s appetite is also increased and with it the feed intake. Huminfeed improves feed conversion and ultimately promotes weight gain. 

HuminFeed® WSG is obtained through the alkaline extraction of highly oxidised German lignite sources (leonardite) that originate from the decomposition of organic matter. Leonardite originates from the chemical and biological humification of plant matter combined with the high biological activity of microorganisms.    

Sodium humate is the sodium salt of humic acid obtained through the alkaline extraction of highly oxidised lignite (leonardite). It can be easily handled and transported. It has been explored in veterinary science and applied in livestock breeding for more than 30 years. 

Sodium humate is classified as non-toxic when orally applied to warm-blooded animals. There are no evident side effects, and there are no known allergies or resistance in the case of regular oral application. Because of its basic chemical structure, sodium humate is neither teratogenic nor mutagenic. It also does not have any carcinogenic or embryotoxic properties. As there is not a high resorption rate in the gastrointestinal tract, no waiting times need to be observed after oral application. In long-term tests (120 days) with a prophylactic application of different doses of HuminFeed® WSG for calves and cattle, body mass increased between 4% and 10% compared with the control groups.

Improves the feed conversion and promotes weight gain, reducing production costs. Can be used as an alternative to antibiotic growth promoters.

For all livestock species, mix in with feed or drinking water.

With calves, mix it with the milk or milk replacer for the first 30 days after birth. It can be used in automatic milk replacer Feeders.

2-3 kg per ton of feed

1-2 kg per 1000 liters of drinking water

Milk or milk replacer:
10 g per calf per day

Body weight:
50-70 mg per kg of body weight and day
