Water for Ghana

Plan International is a child welfare organization effectuating sustainable, child-oriented self-help projects in more than 50 countries around the globe. Supported communities are immediately and actively involved in planning and conducting the various projects. They are financed via direct child sponsoring and individual donations.

Humintech supports Plan’s project “Water for Ghana”, which is making for a better access to clean water for 20.000 children and adults. Plan has recently published the project’s second interim report. The following measures were effectuated between March and August 2016:

•    Education in communities in line with Community-led Total Sanitation method;

•    building and implementation of nine water points in the region of Volta;

•    foundation of health clubs with 133 pupils;

•    trainings for 20 water and sanitary committees with 140 associates.
