Humintech’s Dr. Yasser Dergham lecturing at 52nd German Peat and Humus Day

Peat and humus mesmerize — so much, that the German Peat and Humus Day has become one of the most heeded events within Germany’s soil industry. This year, the congress will take place for the 52nd time in Bad Zwischenahn, Lower Saxony, on November 23rd. Event organizer is the Industrieverband Garten (IVG) e.V., a German association for the garden sector.

The German Peat and Humus Day is known for versatile lectures by notable experts. Among them is Dr. Yasser Dergham, Technical and Sales manager with Humintech, who will give a talk on the application of humic acids and humic substances in horticulture.

  • In addition, there will be lectures covering the following topics:
  • Interlacing of nature conservation and politics
  • Fenland’s pharmacy — from witchcraft to alternative medicine
  • Use of vegetable carbon in plant substrate and soils: state of knowledge and research needs
  • Phosphorus recycling — a new P-source? Scope and benefits
  • International Peatland Society — current developments under strategy 2020

The supporting program will furthermore offer sufficient room for casual conversations between participants and speakers. The attendance fee for the German Peat and Humus Day is 100.00 Euro for IVG members and 115.00 Euros for non-members. Registration is possible at www.ivg.org/dtht-2017.
