Humintech nimmt am 2. Weltkongress zur Nutzung von Biostimulantien in der Landwirtschaft teil, Florenz, Italien 16.11.-19.11.2015

Dr. Yasser Dergham in dialogue

Agricultural Biostimulants include diverse formulations of compounds, substances and other products that are applied to plants or soils to regulate and enhance the crop’s physiological processes, thus making them more efficient. Biostimulants act on plant physiology through different pathways to improve crop vigor, yields, quality and post-harvest shelf life/conservation.

The 2nd World Congress on the use of Biostimulants in Agriculture is an international scientific and technical conference to review the latest knowledge on these products, which are increasingly used in crop production around the world. A panel of prestigious international speakers will discuss the impact of Biostimulants on Plant Nutrition, Abiotic Stresses, Plant Growth and Development, as well as the various aspects of legislation on these products in the main markets around the globe.

Building on the tremendous success of the first Congress that took place end of 2012 in Strasbourg, France with more than 700 people from 55 countries in attendance, the Florence congress will explore the newly acquired scientific and technical knowledge on these products, which are increasingly used in crop production around the world, as well as the various aspects of legislation on these products in the main markets. It will also provide a unique platform to introduce new products during a dedicated session.

Conference papers will contribute to our understanding of the role and use of biostimulants in agriculture, including: Biostimulants and plant development, nutrient uptake, yield, crop quality and crop tolerance to environmental stresses. Research that focuses on the molecular or physiological mode of action of biostimulants and research that provides insight into plant signalling pathways and physiological processes relevant to biostimulants is particularly welcome. Papers covering legislation and registration procedures will also be considered.
